The Student Research and Creative Works Symposium is a two-day annual event where students from disciplines across campus present their research and creative work to the university community and the general public. The symposium is the largest, campus-wide academic event at EWU, with 563 student presenters and 143 faculty mentors participating in the 2014 event.

The symposium showcases projects completed by undergraduate and graduate students under the guidance of their faculty mentors. It provides students with an excellent opportunity to showcase their academic accomplishments, explore the research of their peers, and interact with students and faculty across all academic disciplines. Students are encouraged to participate in the symposium as an integral component of their higher education.

NOTE: The 18th Annual Symposium will be held during NCUR 2015, at EWU.

What this means for students: The 18th Annual Symposium will be for graduate students only. If you are an undergraduate student, we encourage you to present your research at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR). The abstract submission page for NCUR is currently open on their webpage at www.cur.org/ncur_2015/. Unlike the Symposium, abstracts will be due December 2, 2014 at 11:59pm PST. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the NCUR office at ncur2015@ewu.edu.
